RAJA (Raja Zahr) “Going Back” b/w “Drumming On” 45 (Zar Records, 1973/ORIGINAL!)

Here is probably the rarest record I will ever offer for sale: a privately pressed 7” by RAJA ZAHR of “Lebanon” LP fame! That LP, recorded 7 years after this single, regularly goes for hundreds of dollars, and this single is much, much rarer than that! In fact, I’ve never seen another copy. I’d never even heard of it before I found this copy, and according to the internet it has never been offered for sale on E-bay. What’s more, this copy is apparently signed by the artist himself (see pic 1) – very cool! The music is crazy Arabic groove perfect for the DJ set, packed with moog synths, spacey sounds, and of course great drumming! Check the sound clips of each side below, recorded without modification. I've included also a little bit of the lead-in grooves of each side on purpose, so you can get a good sense of the condition of the record (sample is recorded at 128 kbps; the actual record sounds much better!):

Condition: Record is VG+, with light wear in spots but nothing serious. Check the soundclips. Sleeve is also VG+, with a small (approximately 1”) tear on the upper right side (see pic 1). It was there when I bought it. I will ship the record outside of its sleeve to prevent further damage. Other than that, there isn’t any major wear. You can enlarge the pics to see for yourself.
