Condizioni : la copertina presenta un modesto ring wear e poche leggere tracce di logorio sui bordi; grande stato, EX+ / il vinile ha alcuni segni superficiali e qualche leggera striatura causata probabilmente dal contatto con la busta interna. Inoltre una minuscola chiazza di colore biancastro è presente all'inizio della terza traccia sul primo lato, osservabile nella foto n° 5 nel mezzo dell'elastico che ho collocato sul vinile per meglio rendere evidente il difetto, e che condiziona per una ventina di secondi l'ascolto con alcuni modesti tic ma ci tengo a precisare senza salti, forti schiocchi o inceppamenti. Uguale difetto è riscontrabile nel secondo lato sempre sulla terza traccia ma qui con effetti assai minori all'ascolto. Non manca l'originale busta interna con una foto e note varie in Svedese sul compositore, per piacere guardate la scansione n° 4; bello stato, VG+ 

Condition : cover has a moderate ring wear and a few slight traces of edge wear, EX+ / vinyl has some surface marks and some slight striation likely caused by contact with the inner sleeve. In addition, a small whitish stain is present at the beginning of the third track on the first side, visible in the photo n ° 5 in the center of the elastic that I have placed on the record in order to better highlight the flaw. It affects listening for about twenty seconds with a few minor tics and I wish to underline the absence of jumps, strong pops or jams. The same defect is detectable in the second side once again on third track but here with smaller effects to listening. There is the original inner sleeve with a picture and various notes in Swedish about the composer, please look to the scan No. 4, VG+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : Ralph Lundsten è uno dei più apprezzati compositori Svedesi nel campo della musica elettronica. A suo merito, inoltre, il rifiuto di seguire o comunque ispirarsi a grandi musicisti di quel genere e dunque le sue opere sono sempre caratterizzate da grande originalità e freschezza riuscendo così a oltrepassare la riduttiva definizione di suono elettronico per essere soltanto bella musica con la M maiuscola. Per questa colonna sonora utilizza esclusivamente brani tratti da album precedentemente editi tra il 1971 e il 1979 come Alpha Ralpha Boulevard, Discophrenia, Gustav III/Nattmara, etc. etc.. Tuttavia la scelta delle tracce è così ben fatta che, all'ascoltatore ignaro di quanto sopra ho detto, difficilmente verrebbe il dubbio di trovarsi di fronte a una compilation dato che i brani sono perfettamente connessi tra loro e sembrano riflettere coerentemente la trama del film. Il merito va alla band: The Andromeda All Stars con Björn J:son Lindh al flauto, Janne Schaffer alla chitarra, Wlodek Gulgowski al piano, Peter Sundell alla batteria oltre allo stesso Ralph Lundsten ai sintetizzatori. Questa formazione garantisce un'equilibrata organicità alla colonna sonora data la sua presenza in tutti i dischi da cui sono estratti i brani. Cito giusto un paio di tracce, considerando che si tratta di brani già in precedenza editi e tutti ascoltabili sul web. "Alpha Ralpha Boulevard" (a1) sorprende per le voci artificiali che assomigliano a ululati di lupo in mezzo ai bei suoni del moog, "Luna Lolita" (a5) è un brano ballabile al ritmo speciale elettro-funk in cui chitarra e batteria in combinazione al sintetizzatore sviluppano un notevole tempo rapido.

Notes : Ralph Lundsten is one of the most popular Swedish composers in the field of electronic music. To his credit also the rejection to follow or to draw inspiration from great musicians of that genre and therefore his works are always characterized by great personality and freshness thus succeeding to go beyond the simplistic definition of electronic sound for being only beautiful music with a capital letter M. For this soundtrack he only uses excerpts from previously released albums between 1971 and 1979 as Alpha Ralpha Boulevard, Discophrenia , Gustav III/Nattmara, etc. etc.. However, the choice of tracks is so well done that the unaware listener about what I said above would hardly assailed by doubts of being in front of a compilation since the tracks are perfectly related to each other and seem to reflect coherently the film plot. The credit goes to band: The Andromeda All Stars with Björn J: son Lindh, flute, Janne Schaffer, guitar, Wlodek Gulgowski, piano, Peter Sundell, drums in addition to the same Ralph Lundsten, synthesizers. This line-up ensures a correct logicity to the soundtrack since it was present in all the albums from which the excerpts are taken. I mention just a couple of pieces because the tracks had been previously released and all can be heard on the web. "Alpha ralpha Boulevard" (a1) is surprising for the artificial voices that recall the wolf’s howls in the midst of the beautiful sonorities of the moog, "Luna Lolita" (a5) is a dance tune by the special electro-funk rhythm where guitar and drums in combination to the synthesizer develop a remarkable fast tempo.
