PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE two-sided 45 rpm 7" metal acetate from Ral's very first studio recording at MBS Recording Studio on South Wabash Avenue right here in Chicago (Ral being a Windy City native) on January 3, 1958 with the legendary cover of Little Richard's Miss Anne on one side and a dynamite, smokin' cover of Buddy Holly's Oh Boy on the reverse, both credited to Ralph Donner & his Rockin' Five!!! This acetate was included in a jaw-dropping collection I purchased from a music industry veteran and is in amazing VG+/VG++ condition with NO writing on the labels and the artist and title text hand-typed. You've seen Miss Anne on Kicksville's compilation of hideously rare "Raw Rockabilly Acetates Volume 3" but I can't find any record of the original MBS acetate ever coming up for sale or auction. Now's your chance to own it so don't sleep rockabilly collectors. This is most certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity. I've been collecting rockabilly for 40+ yeas and anyone that follows my auctions knows I own some 45s to die for but this acetate is unquestioningly one of the crown jewels in my collection. This is what separates elite collectors from the novices,
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
