Description
This is a Paul + Linda McCartney ORIGINAL LP of "RAM", #SMAS-3375 in Stereo by McCartney Productions, Inc at Apple Records, in New York, N.Y.
ISSUED IN 1971 THIS IS NOT A REISSUE OR A LATER IMPORT. THIS ORIGINAL WAS MADE ON THE SAME GLOSSY, THICKER, BLACK VINYL THAT PEOPLE PREFER AS ORIGINALS HAVE SUPERIOR SOUND AND DON’T LOSE THEIR AMAZING SOUND QUALITY.
The LP has a gatefold covered in artwork on the front, back and inside, all credited to the artist, Paul McCartney.
The cover has 4 sharp corners and a strong spine - couldn't hope to find a better copy - 52 years old and there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, no not he’s, no fraying anywhere on the edges, no writing, and almost no ring-wear. The jacket is strong but has mild age wear, a few scuffs and the green-apple-side of the label has "White Out" over something small. Please see photos.
The record is made of thick, heavy, vinyl that was used to press records in the 1970’s and we now know it gives a much better sound, according to Discogs and other professionals
Other consistent markers to know that this LP is a first pressing from 1971,
- thick quality vinyl that is thicker than what is used to produce records today as it holds better sound
- thick cardboard (American style) construction of the jacket that is thicker-than-normal
- there's a WINCHESTER stamp that looks like a star or asterisk * in the dead wax on both sides of the record.
