RAM & SEL: Screw You / Gold Is The Ring (´70 / extremely rare orig. German 7" / MAJOR MINOR 14 553 AT / red label / in the U.K. Ram & Sel acted under the names of "Ramases & Seleka" and "Ramases & Selket" (and in my opinion also as "Ranee & Raj", even though I´m not 100% sure, if Ranee & Raj really are the same people as Ramases & Seleka) - as you will have noticed, in Germany the original U.K. names of the duo were shortened, most likely the U.K. names were regarded as being too "complicated" for German people!... / in 1971 the duo turned into a group and became Ramases, the group, who thereafter recorded the collectable "Spaceship Hymns" LP for Vertigo / not only the group´s name was used in some variations, the song title underwent the same treatment, as obviously "Screw You" was regarded as being much too "straightforward" or too "explicit" in the U.K., with the consequence, that in the U.K. the A-side was re-titled "Love You", while it was believed, that anyway no one in Germany would be aware of the true meaning of this expression, so they used the original title "Screw You" without hesitation)

DESCRIPTION:

the p/s has one serious mistake: there´s a rather long vertical tear into the top opening, which is going downwards (with slight "bows") to the picture, where the couple is sitting on the beach / the p/s is overall somewhat bent, and there are slight creases and folding lines in various parts / otherwise the p/s is in very nice condition, there´s only a light to very light ringwear (the p/s has been graded down because of the long tear on the backside) / the vinyl has a few light hairlines, but there are absolutely no deeper "serious" scratches / the labels are clean
