RANDY NEWMAN - SAIL AWAY 1972 White Label Promo RARE Insert + Poster Hype EX+ to NM- LP

Please note: This is a brand new account because I have been commissioned to sell a large collection of records that once belonged a DJ in Santa Barbara, CA (more about him below) and the collection belongs to DodgerBob. The lack of feedback is due to this, but I have been selling for years under my account which is: nowhere.man where I have a 100% positive feedback score with 326 transactions and tons of great seller reviews. If you have any questions or concerns, you may look up my other account at nowhere.man and read through them and/or message me there until we build the same customer satisfaction as I have done there.

There are many, many incredible promotional copies mainly from the late 60’s through the 70’s being listed now and for some time to come...please follow us and check out our other listings- we of course offer combined shipping on multiple purchases...we will simply add $1 USD per additional album.

Warner Brothers/Reprise MS 2064

WOW!! For sale is a beautiful white label promo of the Randy Newman classic album Sail Away, complete with original poster and much rarer promotional insert. This copy is in fantastic condition (see below for details).

Matrix/Runouts:

1: S MS 2064-A 31354-1A LH A2

2: S 1 MS 2064-B 31355-1A LH 2

Sleeve: VG+

CRISP gatefold sleeve contains hype sticker...has very light wear on front and a little more pronounced ring wear on rear. I would easily grade as Excellent save for a corner ding to the upper right hand corner and a small “chip” along the bottom of front. Fully legible spine and otherwise beautiful sleeve. No unwanted writing.

Disc: EX to NM-

GORGEOUS disc retains all of it’s original glossy sheen...light wispy sleeve removal traces and some “streaking” visible when tilted under bright light. No real scratches or scuffs. Anything visible is extremely superficial, disappears when tilted under light and appears completely non sounding.

Labels: NM

BEAUTIFUL white promo labels have no unwanted writing or marks. Little to no evidence of play.

Insert(s): NM

Original rare 8.5" x 8.5" promo sheet and 11.5" x 23" black and white poster are in perfect condition. No creases, writing splits or tears. Poster has never been hung.

Original generic inner sleeve is included and unsplit.

This copy is from the collection of Bob Senn - a renowned Santa Barbara, California DJ and program director for KTMS FM “The Rock on the Coast”. When Mr. Senn passed, his collection was acquired by my friend who has commissioned me to help sell them. There are thousands of records in the collection, almost all promotional copies in mint or close to mint condition.

Grading System:

SS (Still Sealed)

Unopened records, still in original shrink wrap. In original manufactured condition unless otherwise noted (i.e. evidence of mildew or bent corners, etc.)

M (Mint)

The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration. (I will only use this grade on SEALED records that appear to be Mint as I believe any non-new, opened record cannot be truly called MINT.

NM (Near Mint)

A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.

EX (Excellent)

A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.

VG (Very Good)

A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.

G (Good)

A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.

FA (Fair) and P (Poor)

These grades are for beat-up records. I will only sell records in these grades if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
