Antonio MAGINI COLETTI (Ancona 1855 – Rome 1912)
His debut was in 1880 at the Costanzi, Rome, as Valentin in Faust. Durino his La Scala seasons he was creator of Puccini’s Edgar (1896) and in Mascagni’s Le Maschere (1901). Side from performances throughhout Italy, Magini Coletti was on the Met roster the seasons 1891-92 and appeared at Covent Garden, Monte Carlo and othe major theaters.
His recordings, all demonstrating an attractive vocal timbre and abvious musicality, were on Blue Zonophone and Fonotipia.

V + Very well worn but listenable Expect the surface noise to be significant. There may be stressed grooves.
