This is a scarce ORIGINAL 1959 PRESSING of a classic release by saxophonist TAB SMITH called KEEPING TAB. The album was issued as Checker 2971; this is a MONO copy on the BLACK AUDIO ODYSSSEY label. RECORDS 2000 PRICE GUIDE VALUES THE ALBUM AS HIGH AS $100. 12 cuts include BECAUSE OF YOU, FALLING LEAVES, L&M BLUES, TRY A LITTLE TENDERNESS, MY HAPPINESS, NEARNESS OF YOU, LADY IN RED, MISTY, THAT'S MY DESIRE and SMOKE GETS IN YOUR EYES. Jacket has some upper seam and ring wear and a strip of clear tape on lower seam; the VINYL is in excellent condition.
