Description
THIS AUCTION LOT CONSISTS OF: One rare vintage 14-minute long, 16-inch, "transcription disc" produced by the U.S. Treasury Department for radio broadcast. This record is one of such set of discs that we recently discovered and are listing this week. We know very little about such discs and have no way to play them to verify their musical or other content. This #526 disc from April 21, 1957 features the "JAZZ ROUNDUP" show jazz greats, the Don Elliot Group, Jerry Mulligan Group, the Modern Jazz Quartette, and the Teddy Wilson Trio, on one side and Connie Boswell , on the flipside. Not certain yet how we will ship these after the auction -- large pizza boxes perhaps! -- so shipping costs will be determined by the Post Office (via weight and size), after we pack them.
CONDITION: Mint- labels, and glossy vinyl, graded at VG+++.
