Description

"ONE NIGHT STAND" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC.  ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC.  THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS  JUST AFTER WORLD WAR TWO AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!   

This disc is from the One Night Stand "Fill" series.  These discs were issued to Armed Forces stations as stand-by programs and would only be played in case any of the discs from the regular series were damaged or otherwise unplayable.  These discs are much less common than discs from the regular One Night Stand series

"One Night Stand" fill program #112 from January 12, 1946 featuring Johnny Long & His Orchestra with vocals by Frances Lane & Tex Mulcahy.  Songs include "Aren't You Glad You're You" vocal Frances Lane, "More Than Yesterday / Blue", "Everybody Knew But Me" vocal Frances Lane, "The Way You Look Tonight", "Put That Ring On My Finger" vocal Tex Mulcahy, Frances Lane & band, "I Can't Get You Out Of My Mind / Give Me The Simple Life", "Some Sunday Morning" vocal Frances Lane, "In The Middle Of May" vocal Frances Lane, "Chickery Chick" vocal Frances Lane & band, "The Boogey Man" vocal Tex Mulcahy & Band.  30 minutes

Singer Frances Lane was also known as Frances Germano

I could not find any reference to any existing copy of this broadcast and it's details are not listed in the One Night Stand Discography by Harry MacKenzie

Program was meant to be broadcast to servicemen overseas, Excellent World War Two Era nostalgic broadcast!   Program is complete and 30 minutes

Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- or better Sound, Beautiful Disc!

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer only
