Here is what the content of the letter says:
Dear Deejay: We are happy to present -- for your programming pleasure -- another unique Decca Deejay Kit especially for you, containing a collection of selections from a brand new series of Decca albums.
This exciting new series, which we believe offers the finest of recordings in all moods, was inspired by the popularity of Esquire magazine and of the world famous Petty Girl who has adorned the pages of Esquire for so many years.
There are eight new albums in the series -- four of which are devoted to Music For The Girl Friend, and four to Music For The Boy Friend. The cover of each album is illustrated by an original and appropriate drawing of the Petty Girl. As you can see from the lithos that are also enclosed, these illustrations make the sets a pleasure visually as well as for listening.
To enable you to present the series to your audience we have chose selections from each of the new albums and incorporated the into the enclosed LP record. To further facilitate your programming we have enclosed suggested script material that we are sure you will find useful. The timing of each selection, as well as the publishers ASCAP or BMI affiliation is listed on the script.
For additional programming material, may we suggest that you look over the clever verses that are contained on the album lines. They, we believe, will provide entertaining and amusing listening when used in conjunction with Decca's Esquire series. Just so you can have these poems handy, we have reprinted the on the attached sheets.
We hope that you, as well as all of the Girl Friends and Boy Friends in your audience, get a great deal of pleasure from the varied music in this series.
Sincerely, Marty Salkin, Martin P. Salkin
