Here may be the RAREST "holy grail" rock n roll albums offered up for auction! YES! An ORIGINAL 1956 album by Roy Orbison "Roy Orbison at the Rockhouse" released on SUN LP 1260. This historic album was one of the first off the presses, when rock n roll was in it's infancy, recorded by Sam Phillips at Sun Records which also launched Elvis and Johnny Cash. It has survived 57 years and is in beautiful condition! WOW! The original "Microgroove" (mono) record rates EX, is glossy, clean, only a couple of very light marks.Nothing heavy. Has been PLAY TESTED and plays EXCELLENT from start to finish, a very enjoyable listen with very clear sound, only some very light noise between tracks, very minimal. This original 1st pressing has "Phillips" etched in the deadwax on both sides, also has etched is SU 135 (side 1) and SU 136 (side 2). The jacket overall rates VG+, has minimal wear, has good color, all seams are completely intact with no splits, no signatures, there is some light discoloration near the edges, small piece of tape on the upper left corner. The text on spline is is great shape and very readable. The yellow "Microgroove" labels have good color, no signatures. Includes the vintage inner sleeve. There is NO RESERVE PRICE!
