Description
Here is a RARE lp from my collection offered up for sale: Elvis Presley's second album "Elvis" released in 1956, this is an original 1956 RCA 1st pressing, LPM 1382 (mono) with the heavy vinyl and black and silver "Long Play" labels, unusual version of "Ad Back" cover. This is great music and is Elvis at his best with Scotty Moore on Guitar & Bill Black on stand up bass! Cool songs "Rip It Up", "Long Tall Sally", "First In Line", "How Do You Think I Feel" , "Old Shep" and more.
The vinyl rates VG, is clean and glossy, has numerous light marks and couple more moderate ones, has been play tested. Plays very good from start to finish, clear sound with some background pops, no skips or jumps, an enjoyable listen! Deadwax reads G2 WP7207-1S and G2 WP7208-1S
The vintage cover rates VG+, has clean and bright front portrait of Elvis, edges and corners have light wear and seam splits have been neatly taped (old), binder edge not readable, has small tear spot to slick on back, clean, no signatures or writing. (see all pics)
Will be shipped in a plastic sleeve in a record mailing box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits.
