The English saxophonist, composer and orchestra leader JOHNNIE GRAY had his own orchestra in the 1950s and also accompanied the Stargazers for Decca, among others . He played with Ted Heath in his orchestra joining in 1945 before he started his own band.JOHNNIE GRAY, who was born on May 15, 1920 in Coventry and died at the age of 94 on June 17, 2014.
As well as this disc he also made solo recordings on Fontana in 1958 with "Tequila" and "Big Guitar".
