Here is a hard to find album from my collection offered up for sale/auction: A SUPER RARE original Buddy Holly album "That'll Be The Day", released in 1958 by Decca DL 8707 (Mono), this is an authentic first pressing released in Buddy's lifetime! Great songs including some rare gems like the first recorded version of "That'll Be The Day" (not the more common "Hit" version), "Blue Days", "I'm Changing All Those Changes" and MORE!! The rigid shellac disc grades G/VG, is clean and still glossy, has many sleeve marks and some needle marks on both sides, but still plays from start to finish without skips or jumps! Some surface noise is heard between tracks and in the quiet spots, some errant popping, but still an enjoyable listen for a 56 year old! The vintage cover rates VG, is clean and has deep colors, only light age discoloration, no writing or signatures, all edges and corners have wear, old tape marks at top, no longer split (neatly repaired), top corner has damage (see photo), has vintage price sticker, a clean and bright portrait of buddy, no stains, a well cared for cover for a 56 year old!
