This is a rare first pressing of Sun Ra's "The Futuristic Sounds of Sun Ra" LP from 1962 on the Savoy record label with no PO box in back. . The record is a 33 RPM black vinyl in a cardboard sleeve, with record in excellent plus condition, and the cover has the Harvey artwork to match the music, and in very good to very good minus condition. This avant-garde jazz album falls under the genres of psychedelic, Hard-Bop/ Space age showcasing Sun Ra's experimental and free jazz style from the 1960s. This mono recording is a valuable addition for collectors of Sun Ra's pioneering work.
