RARE 1964 DELROYWILSON LP - I SHALL NOT REMOVE - R&B DISCS - JBL1112 This very rare original1964 production from R&B Discs features Delroy Wilson performing this brilliant recording entitled I Shall Not Remove. Catalogue number JBL 1112.
Visual grading: The vinyl is in verygood condition. The record has obviously been played and enjoyed manytimes, but looks like it would display no major deterioration in sound quality, despitenoticable surface marks (occasional light scratch to be expected). This is a qualityheavy weight, long playing microgroove pressing. The laminated coverprinted in England by West Brothers is in good condition with some lightcreasing and some visible repair has been carried out by a previous owner (please check photo). The cover and labels are free from writing and generallyvery clean with slight discolouration and creasing to the back of the cover indicative ofits age. The LP is kept in a plastic outer cover. I have now play tested this LP on a Technics deck with an ortofon concorde cartridge and the grading according to Record Collector is as follows:VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Some tracks play better than VG some others a genuine VG, the only problem I have noticed with this LP is on the last track of side 2 "treat me right" where there is some dirt on the record which gives some noise half way through the track, this will probably come off with a professional clean. I have preferred not to attempt to clean it off.
