Welcome. This is a very rare find and if you are a fan of early surf music, this will certainly become the highlight of your collection. This original 1964 Jim Messina & his Jesters album, on Audio Fidelity records, in Stereo, is THE Jim Messina from Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Loggins and Messina et el. This album was before all that, and looking at the condition of the record, it's amazing that it has lasted so well. This record was from the personal collection of Sidney Frey, who was the President and owner of Audio Fidelity records, on which this album was recorded. Mr. Frey was an early pioneer in Stereo. This record, which you can listen to some tracks on Youtube, by typing in Jim Messina and his Dragsters, is an early look at the Surf sound from California, vis a vis the Beach Boys, Dick Dale, The Champs, the Ventures etc. Funny, but Mr. Messina is still going strong today. This album is in extraordinary condition with only a small crack separation at the bottom spine in the lower right hand corner. We have placed a piece of tape on it to prevent it from growing further. The cover and the record are near perfect. It also plays beautifully on a good turntable.
