Description

Up for auction is a 45 rpm "free private use" record entitled "A Trip to Miami part 1 & 2 by Lee Alan presents".  This is one of the first interviews that the Beatles did in America and is rare due to disc quantity and limited distribution.  Lee Alan was a DJ for WXYZ in Detroit and conducted this interview with the Beatles in February of 1964 and the record was produced in March of the same year.  This record was a free bonus to those who purchased the two page transcript of the interview - neither the transcript or cover was with this record when I acquired it.  A friend played the record (I do not have a turntable) and said each side plays for approx. 3 minutes and side one starts out with Lee saying he traveled 1000 miles for this interview with the Beatles.  There is a fine hairline crack in the vinyl on side one (only) as shown in the last photo (at top center) and both sides also show wear.  None the less, the opportunity to add this rare record and piece of Beatles History does not come along too often.  Our friend who played the record was surprised to learn there was a crack in it as he said he played it twice and it did not skip but his phonograph was not high end so I don't know if that makes a difference.  Please view the pictures carefully as they are part of the description.  We will show or mention any notable defects. Please email if you have any questions or need clarification so you can be satisfied with your purchase. We will combine shipping for multiple wins if possible. Guaranteed Old & Original as is everything we sell.  MORE BEATLES - SEE BELOW
