In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. The Swinging Blue Jeans were a four piece 1960s British beatrock band. Although they're only remembered today for their 1964 hit "Hippy Hippy Shake", which charted on both sides of the Atlantic - the Swinging Blue Jeans were actually one of the strongest of the Liverpool bands from the '60s British Invasion.
The Swinging Blue Jeans were near the top of Liverpool's rock & roll bands, although Americans who've only heard their pile-driver-textured Top 30 version of "Hippy Hippy Shake" might wonder at that statement. This album provides the evidence -- it rates very close behind the LP as a fresh and brilliant piece of music-making, and as it stands, it's not too far behind. In order to fully appreciate The Swinging Blue Jeans you have to put yourself back in the 1964 Beatlemania craze. Liverpool and the rest of the north are filled with acts that could thump away hard, or harmonize pleasingly, but only a handful that can do both, and even fewer that can do both well, and most of those, apart from , can't decide if they want to be the Everly Brothers or Chuck Berry. The Beatles knew that with a little care, they could be both -- and based on the evidence on this album, the Swinging Blue Jeans were of the same mind and had the talent to pull it off. This first album features punchy, crunchy rhythm guitar, jangling lead guitar, some pretty raw singing by all four bandmembers alternating with decent harmonizing. Their cover of "Save the Last Dance for Me" is a credible rendition of a contemporary Drifters hit, and their versions of "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" and "Long Tall Sally" are solid pieces of rave-up rock & roll. And that's just the start....this is one of the best rock & roll British Invasion albums of its era to come out of Liverpool.
