Description

Here we have a  rare Blues album from Lightnin' Slim and Slim Harpo entitled 'A Long Drink Of Blues'.It was issued in 1965 on the highly collectable Stateside record label and the catalogue no.is SL 10135.

There are 12 tracks and these are :-

Side One   (Lightnin' Slim)   Rooster Blues   My Starter Won't Work   It's Mighty Crazy   Hoo-Doo Blues   I'm Leaving You Baby   Feelin' Awful Blues 

Side Two   (Slim Harpo)   Blues Hangover   What A Dream   Buzz Me Baby   Moody Blues   My Home Is A Prison   Dream Girl

The record has been assessed as being in VG+ condition.It plays well with just occasional faint surface noise but this is mainly only audible between the tracks.There are no skips or jumps and overall the sound is sharp and clear.

The outer cover has also been assessed as being in VG+ condition.It is a little grubby with age and the original price is still visible on the reverse side next to a 2 figure reference number.However,apart from this there are no major marks or blemishes,no rips or tears and no other handwriting on the cover.

IN MINT CONDITION THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN VALUED BY RECORD COLLECTOR AT £70 - IN VIEW OF ITS VG+ GRADING WE HAVE A MUCH LOWER STARTING POINT AND NO RESERVE - HERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR FANS OF 1960s BLUES AND R&B TO FILL AN IMPORTANT HOLE IN THEIR COLLECTIONS
