Description
Original 1965 Dot Records 45 rpm single by The Coronados, featuring “The Nomad” b/w “Center of Attraction.”
Catalog # 45-16758 (A side AIB-20056 / B side AIB-20057).
Arranged by songwriter Mack Vickery, known for his later work with Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley.
Vinyl graded VG with moderate surface scuffs and light marks that do not overpower play. Labels show minor wear and writing (“1965”) consistent with age. From the private collection of a legendary Detroit crate-digger and one-time DJ, bearing the tell-tale signs of his preservation techniques—light edge taping and faint etched year—provenance that makes this a “piece of rock history from an epic collection of rare 45’s, filled with DJ copies and promos of early Northern Soul, Doo-Wop, Rockabilly, Detroit Garage and Psyche Rock.”
A hard-to-find mid-’60s gem from Dot’s transitional pop era, appealing to collectors of crossover pop, garage, and Northern-Soul-adjacent tunes.
