Up for sale is a RARE Beatles import album. This is an original Dutch pressing of the Beatles' sixth album, "Rubber Soul" from 1965. This album is on Parlophone, PMC 1267 and is in mono. This album actually contains the famed and RARE mono mix known by collectors as the "Loud Cut". Featuring a significantly louder cut of the album, this mix is denoted by a "-1" ending on the matrix of the B-side of the album. This album features the first press silver on matte black Parlophone label. The album cover states "Made and Printed in Great Britain" but lacks many of the design elements usually seen on actual U.K. pressings. The cover is not laminated on the front side, there are only two flip-backs on the back side and they feature a rectangular cut on the edges rather than the usual rounded edges. The spine print on the cover are visible on the back side, not on the spine itself. There is no, "Gramophone Co. Ltd." text underneath the Parlophone logo on the front cover. There is a spot on John's jacket, over his right shoulder, where it appears that some touching up was done not by a pen but as if actually done during the printing process. Looks like it could be a touch-up to cover the loose strand that appears on John's jacket on some pressings.

"Rubber Soul" : The record itself is a little marked up, mostly hairlines and slight scuffing but nothing that looks especially deep. Very heavy vinyl. The labels are in great shape. There are two small grey marks on the A-side. The cover has some wear throughout. A few creases on the front side near the opening edge and some creasing on the top left, bottom left, and bottom right corners. A lot of seam wear on all three seams, paper loss on all three including a split in the middle of the spine, about two inches. Some corner wear as well. Back side shows some wear as well. Some creases in the same areas as on the front side, especially on the top right corner. Since the spine text is on the back cover, it is all perfectly legible on the back near the middle of the right edge. Some light creasing on the flip-backs. I will ship albums with records (in plain paper sleeves) outside of the album cover to prevent damage during transit. If the album comes with an original inner sleeve, it will be placed behind the album cover within its plastic outer sleeve. Any kind of inserts will be inside the album cover. I always ship albums in plastic outer sleeves with new plain white inner sleeves.
