Description
As found, as shown in the photographs. Only a few of these PROMO stamped cover issues have come available over the past several years. This one is clearly stamped/drilled through the gatefold jacket and Green Capitol inner sleeve. The sleeve does have a tear and crease through the middle of the holes, but none of it torn off. It also has a split bottom seam in the middle. The seam at the top of the gatefold record near the opening has a 4.5" split. The spine has some minor wear. The record does have some scratches on both sides, but it does play through without skipping. It has some pops and clicks occasionally. Side 1 does not return after the last track. This is a first U.S. issue (without the subtitle "You can't do that" below The Bitter End on the label) and no Ken Thorne credit, consistent with it being designated as a Promotional copy for radio station/DJ's. It was well played (understandably). Overall, it's not perfect, but certainly is rare and a great piece for anyone's collection!
