Here is a album from my collection offered up for sale: A RARE 1967 "big E" MONO gold label Lp album "The Doors" self-titled FIRST album by the Doors! This late mono pressing has the RARE cover with GOLD RECORD AWARD. This record was released in January of 1967. It was not certified a gold record (500,000 copies sold) until September 11th 1967. The Mono pressings were discontinued by 1968 and only a handful of these mono pressings bear the GOLD RECORD AWARD! This hard to find mono first pressing gold Elektra label, hand written dead wax reads EKL 4007A NEW and EKL 4007B (AB-2). Great songs, a different, uncensored mix than the more common stereo version! Break On Through, Soul Kitchen, The Crystal Ship, Light My Fire, Back Door Man, The End and MORE!!! Released in 1967 on Elektra records EKL-4007 MONO. The vinyl grades VG+, close to EX, is clean and glossy, has some light marks, nothing heavy, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, side one plays excellent, side two has some light noise in some quiet spots, no skips, no jumps, a very enjoyable listen! The original gold Elektra labels show minimal spindle wear! The cover rates EX, is clean, no splits, no tape, no signatures or writing, has light edge wear but are solid, minimal ring wear! (see photos) Has the original vintage Elektra printed inner sleeve in excellent condition! (see photos). Own it now with my fair BUY IT NOW price!
