Description

JAMES BOND & THE AGENTS on Gold Label Records #183, "Wild Angel" b/w "Greensleeves," recorded 1967. Side 1 vinyl: clean, evidence of play but no distracting marks or scratches, retains original gloss; at 10:00 is some light vinyl spalling or peeling on the lead-in groove that is about 1/2 inch long and extends half-way into it, I have played the record a couple of times and have had no problems with it. Side 1 label: some light visual wear 10:00-to-11:00 (see pic), otherwise no writing, tears, stains or other distractions, label still very glossy gold. Side 2 vinyl: clean, not as much evidence of play as Side 1, again no distracting marks or scratches, original gloss; a few incuse, pin-point-size "pimples" in the vinyl (as originally pressed), but does not affect play. Side 2 label: no visual wear, no stains, tears, writing or other distractions, still glossy gold. This record is so close to NM, but I am going to grade it as VG+ to ensure satisfaction with the winner. I have played both sides through twice as I submit this listing, there is very light surface noise (nothing above 45s of this era) with no skips, clicks or other problems.

BOTH SIDES, THOUGH NOT THIS 45, CAN BE HEARD ON YOUTUBE. A STORY ON THE BAND, JAMES BOND & THE AGENTS, IS IN MY BOOK ALSO AVAILABLE ON MY EBAY SITE.

PLEASENOTE MY VISUAL RECORD GRADING SCALE:

SS (Still Sealed): Unopened, stillin original shrink-wrap in original condition unless noted differently.

Mint: I do not usethis grade.

NM or M- (NearMint or Mint Minus): Almost as produced except for superficial thingslike paper sleeve rubs or light handling. Label will have full gloss and coloras produced.

VG++ (Very GoodPlus-Plus): Awell-cared-for record, but the vinyl will display a few noticeableimperfections such as a few light marks or scuffs that cannot be felt to thetouch. Label will also have some color and/or gloss fading or light wear; anyother distractions will be noted in the label description.

VG+ (Very GoodPlus): Stilla well-cared-for record, vinyl has a few more noticeable imperfections thanVG++ that cannot be felt to the touch. May display some original gloss. Labelcan show some, but not large, areas of wear; any other distractions will benoted in the label description. NOTE: this is still a very acceptable grade formost collectors.

VG (Very Good): A used but stillreasonable copy. Vinyl will have several moderate and/or one or two major flawssuch as scratches that can be felt to the touch, but the record will playthrough with some ticks and possibly other surface noise, nothing thatoverwhelms the sound. Label gloss may be completely gone, color fading, moderate wear, any other distractions will be noted in the label description.

VG- (Very GoodMinus): Vinylwill have some major imperfections along with visible groove wear but willstill play through. Label will have heavy wear, no gloss, color faded, anyother distractions will be noted in the label description.

FR/PR(Fair/Poor):  A record withmajor problem(s). I usually do not list records in these grades unless it is avery scarce/rare record that is highly sought-after. Such a record’s condition, along with its flaws, will be described in detail.
