Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one featuring The Rolling Stones.
A few unique things about this item:
Firstly, this record retains the original shine with some very light imperfections grading by sight in normal room light. I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint. If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.
I don't claim this record is mint. I played the entire record and found the tracks to average better than VG+(excellent), with some scattered very light surface noise / very light pops. You can assign your own grade based on my comments on what I heard and the GRADING SCALE BELOW!.
Keep in mind how it plays for me may differ than how it plays for you based on differences in audio equipment.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).
Here is a summary of the record(s):
Artist: The Rolling Stones Title: Beggar's banquet Record: Black vinyl with the original shine and some very light imperfections grading by sight in normal room light. Labels: Maroon with silver print. No stickers, no pen/pencil marks, lots of spindle marks. Trailing wax: Side 1: "XARL-8476-4A". Side 2: "XARL-8477-2A G 41". Inner sleeve(s): A generic, white sleeve with a centered 2" seam split on the bottom, some closed tattering along the top. A different generic sleeve can be included, if requested. Cover: This is a gatefold cover (it opens up). Corners moderately worn, a few creased/rounded corners. No pen/pencil marks. The back cover with a split lower bottom seam. No stickers. Some seam wear, heavy on the spine centered 4". Slight/moderate general ring/wear. Rate the cover VG at best. You can assign your own grade based on my comments. Comments: I found the tracks to audibly average better than VG+(excellent) with some scattered very light surface noise / very light pops. The weakest track was track 1, side 1, but then the sound gradually improved on the remaining tracks. Side 2 played pretty well. You can assign your own grade based on my comments on what I heard and the GRADING SCALE SHOWN!. A good addition to your LP collection. Side 1: Comments: Sympathy for the devil Some very light surface noise and very light pops (2.8). No expectations Some very light surface noise and very light pops (3.2). Dear doctor Some very light surface noise (3.4). Parachute woman Some very, very light surface noise (3.6). Jig-saw puzzle Some very light surface noise (3.4). Side 2: Comments: Street fighting man Some very, very light surface noise (3.5). Prodigal son Some very light surface noise and very light pops (3.3). Stray cat blues Some very, very light surface noise; some very light pops at the end of the track (3.2). Factory girl Some very light surface noise and very light pops (3.2). Salt of the Earth Some very, very light surface noise (3.6).
Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:
- NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
- 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
- 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
- VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
- VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
- G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise
I normally ship single LP records in a 13x13x2 box. Weight with box is about 1 pound 4 oz. Shipping is 1-2 pounds Media Rate, $3.82 + $1.50 box = $5.32
Alternatively, I can ship in a 14 x 14 x 6" box. Weight with box is about 1 pound 12 oz. Shipping is $3.82 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.70 box/tape/packing = $5.52.
This auction is currently set to ship in the smaller box. If you want the larger box, let me know and I'll send an appropriate invoice.
Buyer pays shipping/handling. Standard method within U.S. is Media Rate, $5.32 This includes online tracking. Outside U.S., e-mail location to determine S/H costs prior to auction end.
