PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Small private "GARAGE ROCK" pressing from 49 years ago...
still in original factory shrink wrapper...
VERY RARE... don't let the cover fool you...yes, these cats were serving at the US Navy Academy in 1968, but, that didn't mean they couldn't rock-out (same situation for the US marine group, the MONKS, admittingly, these ain't no MONKS) - but - this SPIFFYs album is a pretty hot raw garage teen-scene rocker -- if it were released on the fame JUSTICE label (of 60's garage rock fame), it would be in the top levels of such album releases... Very inspired and heavy handed, the tracks have the cool lo-fi primitive raves led by farfisa organ and stinging guitar all throughout....no backing horns or junk additives by any old 'slick' producer -- no way -- this is the straight from the garage sounds of the SPIFFYS
Exemplified by tracks such as their takes of The Classics IV 'Spooky', Procol Harum's 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' (a suitable selection given its nautical theme), and a cool long version, psychy reading of The Doors' 'Light My Fire', plus heated energetic Alex Chilton workout in 'The Letter'...the rock material throughout is very likeable -- highlighted by the SPIFFYS psychedelic, organ-propelled original 'Dreams' easily one more of the standout efforts.
Approx 2,500 copies were pressed. Only available through the Academy's store for a couple of bucks a pop in '68, the LP's subsequently become a rare, sought after collectable, and rightly so....

CONDITION: The Cover: clean and solid, MINT- still in the original factory shrink wrapper...49 year old RARE collectible! No split seams, no bends, no writing...no delete marks ... note looks like indentation from pen on top of BACK cover, no ink, hard to see, shouldn't be an issue at all and in shrink wrapper!
The Vinyl: glossy over both sides, clean...rated M- the deep groove pressing with excellent clear audio with no problems. The custom labels are both VERY clean...
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
