Description

An incredibly rare and never opened Double LP Recording (Two records) of

The Hierarchial Divine Liturgy of Establishment of the Ruthenian or Rusyn Greek Catholic i.e. Byzantine Catholic Metropolitan Province, the Metropolia of Munhall, Pittsburgh, at Descent of the Holy Spirit Church in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, the 11th of June 1969.

This incredible erection of the Rusyns into a Metropolia was decreed by His Holiness, +Pope Paul VI of blessed memory and the first Metropolitan was His Grace, +Archbishop Stephen Kocisko who along with his suffragan see Eparchs, +Bishop Michael Dudick of Passaic and newly created Parma's +Bishop Emil Mihalik are all heard wonderfully on this album along with a myriad of other notable clergy of the Rusyn church in America.

Incredible swelling of Ruthenian Plain Chant during parts of this Divine Liturgy that sadly have vanished over the past forty years. A wonderful find for lovers of chant!
