We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1969 first pressing in old style unipack gatefold comes the second and superior Mecki Mark Men album with a decidedly more tripped out style from their first one drenched with gushing hammind organ, acidic guitar in mixes with formidably propelled 'self tunes' ...

Lead by keyboardist and vocalist Mecki Bodemark, MECKI MARK MEN are considered one of the first big Swedish psychedlic acts. In 1969, they released this second  album (their best) which they titled “Running in the Summer Night”...they were the supporting act for FRANK ZAPPA AND THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION at Stockholm’s Concert House, as well as for JIMI HENDRIX during his Swedish tour. When Jimi came back from his Swedish tours he probably told the tales about the wild Swedish Organ tormentor Mecki Bodemark who did the same things with his grinding Organ as Jimi did with his guitar. They sounds like a mix of Teargas, High Tide and Jimi Hendrix but with a wild organ player in glittering space costume.The mighty guitar wizard Kenny H.karlsson has never been more psychedelic than this. 

In 1969, the Mecki Mark Men went on a U.S. tour and played at rock festivals headlining The BYRDS, SLY & THE FAMILY STONE and JETHRO TULL among others. However, the tour ended up in chaos. They had stayed there for 3 months yet their visas were only valid for 6 weeks; they were also stuck in a hotel room they couldn’t afford. So they made a deal with their manager, returned home and paid their debts by recording a third album (“Marathon”). They then broke up, with most of the cast soon resurfacing as the great prog-psych band KEBNEKAISE. who made at least 5 colletible albums in the early to later 70's.  The happening op-art sounds of the Mecki Mark Men's "Running IN the Summer Night" is typical of the better part of 60’s psych and R&B scene, their music resembles that of JIMI HENDRIX, IRON BUTTERFLY and VANILLA FUDGE: trippy, brain melting distorted lead guitar with plenty of fuzz and wah-wah, and lots of wasted, stoned out vocals from Bodemark who, by the way, does the same things with his formidable Hammond organ as Hendrix with his guitar. This IS their best album,  “Running in the Summer Night”, is an album of heavy acid space rock where everyone is at his best, particularly swirling organist Bodemark and guitar wizard Kenny Häkansson.

CONDITION: The cover: Old style unipack gatefold is solid with shelf wear around the edges; VG+(+) and overall pretty clean on the front and back ...just a little wear. Has a small  bb delete drill at top right ... not mint but very collection worthy copy...    

The vinyl: all clean over both sides, M- plays fantastic ....
