We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. One of the rare underground sixties releases on the highly collected RAINBOW CAPITOL label...and really hard to find clean...the few copies spotted over the years have all had bad cover wear - a survivor located:

Capitol label's attempt at co-opting the psychedelic/hippie rock movement which is fitfully interesting at the very least. The Last Ritual's lone LP from 1969 is definitely a step above that dubious wheelhouse... Many of the elements are there: good, occasionally heavy guitar work, a mix of long and short cuts, crazed, rambling lyrics, production work from the legbendary MGM producer (see Mothers Of Invention, Animals, etc) Mr. Tom Wilson. There's also lots of backing spice -- never fear, it's not at all horn rock, and the arrangements are very well done.

The Last Ritual is more progressive rock than psych and features shifting tempos and styles including weird chamber music, heard best on the near-17 minute album closer, "Bugler's Reveille." Conducted, composed and arranged by one Allan Springfield, there's nearly nothing about this album or band around; in fact, many listings on discographies or the occasional copy for sale seem to think there's no band name for some reason.

One intriguing snippet comes via a comment (by a child of one of the members) who was seeking information about the group, stated that the album was recorded mostly live rather than tracked in pieces -- which would be truly impressive considering the complexity of much of this material. A few clues here and there also turn up info about a direct follow up band named Chelsea Beige.

CONDITION: The cover: The THICK gatefold cover is usually found with much shelf wear as the colors did NOT wear well at all...here a rare survivor, rated at "EX" (excellent) to M- top level with only a very tiny nick on spine (it's actually the smallest delete mark we've seen), otherwise bright original colors, no bends, no writing and no split seams...

The vinyl: TOP COPY, MINT cleam...smooth all over, no marks...plays mint ...clean rainbow Capitol labels
