PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. ULocated this one (1) copy of a Very rare limited edition ... long time no see DOUBLE (2xLP) album from nearing 30 years ago in striking color deluxe cover ... The contents features the famous "LZ" 1970 Montreaux Switzerland performance...here is an accounting of the high energy showcase:
(note, the back cover states 1971 but this is an error, it is actually 1970 on tour of the Led Zeppelin "II" album)
This audience recording, is what it is with lo-fi quality, but very listenable, making it clear that the performance ranks among the bands best from the 1970 Spring tour of Europe and among the very best from the early years. It is rich, deep, powerful and dynamic and is a tremendously exciting document which shows exactly why Zeppelin were such an EXPLODING live act.The show starts off with the rush of “We’re Gonna Groove” - a rare warm up tune that sizzles. The intensity of the rhythm section challenges Plant to keep up. He even seems to lose his place after the guitar solo. The segue into the slow blues sludge of "I Can't Quit You" is seamless. This Led Zeppelin version of the song is much heavier and loose than the studio recording and by this time was on its last legs. Zeppelin would drop it from the set then they went to America after this tour and it would reappear in the “Whole Lotta Love” medley in 1973 in a very loose arrangement.
“Dazed And Confused” at this point in Zeppelin’s history is still a fifteen minute psychedelic masterpiece. Plant sings a unique second verse which introdcues a bit of levity in the piece, “I’ve been wonderin’ and I’ve been wandering / tell me what can I do? / I’m in love with a sweet little girl / and she looks exactly like you. But baby let them / say what they will / It’s gonna work out fine now / nothing can change my mind … but I will.”
Robert Plant has some problems with his microphone and attempts a bit of French, saying: “Je casser mon microphone [I broke my microphone]. You feel alright? Well, are we alright? Have we got another one?” From the new album “Heartbreaker” is played with the Jeff Beck Group’s “Rice Pudding” as introduction.
“White Summer” is introduced as “a thing that’s comprised of several different numbers in what might be called a peculiar tuning.”
“How Many More Times” reaches twenty-five minutes and is one of the most intense recordings of the medley available. After introducing the band, the band play the song through the verses and the opening instrumental break which includes references to “Susie Q” and “Beck’s Bolero.” In “The Hunter” Plant pushes the band into John Lee Hooker’s “Boogie Chillun’” with references to “Further On Down The Line,” and Page responds with the famous “Hideaway” riff.

CONDITION: The cover: Deluxe color cover is strong and stiff, rated "EX" (excellent) with a bit of light previous use but clearly collection worthy as photo shows...
The vinyl: Both records, all 4 sides are very clean, rated M- look and play as well as the day the album was released ... The labels are clean [but] have different information text, not stating "Led Zeppelin" on purpose (rest assured it is the music of Led Zeppelin as described above) ... both labels for first LP states, incorrectly: NORGLODE- A KING AMONG'ST MEN-DR.MARTIN LUTHER KING. The labels for the second Lp state incorrectly: JOE VALINO-VICKI, This was result of an obvious pressing plant decision...oh, and one label is off center a bit, no problem, record plays perfect ...
