We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. A truly strange pairing, and whatever the case still highly collectible ... while the cover appears to have come from the scarce '90s 2nd pressing while the thick platter is 100% guaranteed to be the fantastic 1970 first pressing, no if's and's or but's about it. Guaranteed!

Truly The Wizards From Kansas are America’s finest horseman to gallop the spirited clouds of the Cherokee. The Wizards started their journey as Pig Newton launching their only album that pushed out wah wah guitar leads and dynamic melodies. Wizards From Kansas blew Bill Graham’s mind during their enduring gifted sets at the Fillmore East in the summer of 1970. These convincing live performances gave the group a recording break which put out their self titled masterpiece.

The lineup has John Paul Coffin playing some of the most exact lead breaks ever to slit the Stars & Stripes particularly on the galloping “Ride With The Witches” where the vox command of Robert Joseph Menadier and his fortified bass takes full charge and authority.The obvious strength of the group was ex Little Boy Blues drummer Marc Evan Caplan who rolls with an incredibly deliberate shuttle, often in jazz restrain. The songsmith behind the Wizards was twelve- string guitarist Robert Manson Crain who wrote six tracks while guitarist Harold Earl Pierce often helped out on vox when Caplan took percussion.

The Wizards were in the same esoteric drift as Clear Light without Coffin’s fiery guitar breaks. The tranquility is crystalline as the LP flows through “Misty Mountainside” and even more meditated upon is the spaced version of “High Flying Bird” far more voluptuous than anyone who covered the track before, influenced by the Quicksilver jam session sound of the day....

CONDITION: The cover: The fragile cover is laminated and is from the limited UK 2nd pressing, the vinyl (see below) is original from 1970 ... that being said the cover is VG++ having a bit of light wear around the edges, nothing serious at all, and makes for a collection copy keeper with bright colors, no split seams, no writing... 

The vinyl: the thick weighty 1970 first pressing vinyl is "EX" (excellent), really clean and plays minty clean with no audio problems ... both red Mercury labels are clean ...
