PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Always been hard to find ...here a rare advance release promotional = ORIGINAL 1970 first pressing...the Fourth Way were a very tight, yet adventurous and creative avant-garde jazzy progressive unit. Their compositions are structured with long passages that fly 'free' centered around funky bass lines and solid drumming. Very listenable/enjoyable album recorded live at the Montreaux Festival in 1970... The Fourth Way formed in 1967 and worked primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area through the early 1970s, releasing three albums and were early pioneers of electric jazz fusion, with Nock's Fender Rhodes keys run through many effects pedals including ring modulation playing along and off of Michael White's electrically-amplified violin, Ron McClure's bass and Eddie Marshall's percussion skills...
WERWOLF opens up with a nice laidback groove piece called Brown Rice. The band then delves into some Free Space Jazz on Colours before getting back into the groove with Werwolf that has plenty of lead violin by Michael White, a signature of the group’s sound. The second side drives in the same direction, plenty of complex skilled playing...the closing Spacefunk is a good listen, with some noisy chaos and experimental passages.
Brown Rice 7:34 Colours 5:33 Werwolf 5:29 B: Tierra del Fuego 5:09 Mesoteric Circle 8:08 Spacefunk 7:17CONDITION: The cover is really hard to find clean...nearly all copies have ring wear due to the dark cover that did not wear well...this copy has only a little starting shelf wear, visually VG++ though the top right corner of the cover had been wet, something you feel and not so much see...otherwise bright colors, no split seams, no bends, no writing...
The back cover (photo #2) you can see the light random h2o stains...and contains the original (authentic) signatures of each band member. Signature of Mike Nock 'ran' a bit when cover was wet = maybe it's from dripping sweat, signed after the heated Montreaux Festival concert...?!
The vinyl is all clean over both sides, near "EX" (excellent) and plays CLEAN with no audio problems...both HARVEST labels are clean
