Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

             Germany - BASF RECORDS - 20 29054-9

Rory (guitar) Gallagher was leader of The TASTE a hard blues sound built for Gallagher's expressive if not dynamic guitar theatrics. His skills including prolific writing ability decided to go solo and the rest is history... What happened to his fellow mates in Taste, bassist Charlie McCracken and drummer John Wilson? They formed "STUD" bringing in the highly capable Jim Cregan who had been a key member on guitar with the mighty BLOSSOM TOES. Stud were alive in well for most of the early '70s and released three highly collectible albums. Their second ("September") and third "Goodbye") were released only in Germany, thus lesser seen, in fact always so pretty much since the day of release around 45 years ago.

Here is in fact a MINT-CLEAN first printing of their second album, "SEPTEMBER" for wehich they have brought the ever skilled multi-instrumentalist John Weider into the fold. Weider (guitar, keys, violin) had been an original member with FAMILY as well as the psychedelic "New ANIMALS" of the later sixties featuring Eric Burdon. Weider gave STUD a more diverse sound ...

"September" was also recorded at Command Studios in London and published at the end of '71. In the meantime, Stud had changed the record company (from UK Deram) to German based “BASF”. “September” was quite different from the first album, a fact which was credited to John Weider, who wrote most of the songs. They had left the jazzy hard rock style of their first album, into a far more cohesive effort, remarkably versatile, while still retaining blues, hard-rock and jazz structures. Songs like “Good Things” ,”Bad Handlin'" or particularly  “Red Wine" are excellent and well worth the ticket of owning this album. Other good tracks are  “God knows”, “Life without Music”; “Samurai”, “Five to Midday” & “Prelude”.

Good Things 4:00
God Knows 6:03
Corner 1:50
Life Without Music 8 7:22
Samurai 2:21
Five To Mid-Day 6:05
Prelude 3:10
Bad Handling 3:30
Ocean Boogie 3:25
Red Wine 4:23
