PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ORIGINAL 1972 FIRST PRESS RARE & SOUGHT AFTER 1972 PRIVATE PRESS ORIGINAL!
FLIPPED-OUT SPACEROCK PRIVATE LABEL COLLECTIBLE
Nik “Pascal” Raicevic’s
. THE SIXTH EAR .
\ USA - (PRIVATE, Los Angeles) = NARCO RECORDS
Very rare and highly sought after 1972 first pressing vinyl on the local Los Angeles "Narco Records"
...Includes the RARE bumper sticker warning: “DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS TAPE IF YOU ARE STONED”. It’s unclear what would happen if you were to ignore the warning.
.. 1971 USA's answer to the early 70's German "Krautrock" (space-psych/prog) movement.
This thing is really tripped out -- a headphones treat full of twirling blips, beeps and swirls in cosmic adventures, navigating to the way-way-out there sparking the flavor buds in your mental phased zones ...The album was noted as such when advised: "Do Not Listen To This Album If You Are Stoned" -- for listeners who dig the likes of The Cosmic Couriers ( ala Planetin Sit-In, Cosmic Jokers, Sci Fi Party) meeting Maxwell Von Braund's "Monster Planet"
...Talk about a forgotten relic from a forgotten era! Even the early works of Tangerine Dream on the Ohr label takes a back seat compared to this album from Los Angeles-bases synthesis guru -- pretty much known only by the most die-hard and fanatical psych & prog LP collectors, those looking for the off-the-wall stuff that's never seen a CD reissue (and not likely to). "THE SIXTH EAR" was released on the private "Narco Records" label, and it's basically an album that is truly a time piece, with that trippy sci-fi cover done by "the band". The minute you live through the opening 9:30 cut, "The Sixth Ear", you experience mainly deep space explorations via ominous electronics & special effects. The next cut, "Journey Into Light" features that odd droning Moog and more sound way-out effects. Continuing your trip sommersaults into an atmospheric acid laced time-ride, bearing titles like "Subconscious Nebula", "Demons of Rage", "Visions Of Kali, "Anandamayi", and "Life". This is truly a wonderful album to a lift-off to with use of headphones, because of all the enhanced electronic effects. Even better is the primitive raw analog sound. If you're looking for the most off-the-wall stuff, look no further...for it's surely gonna take off to the Sunrise of the third solar system...
Nik “Pascal” Raicevic’s chief claim to fame is as a session percussionist for two tracks on the Rolling Stones’ Goat’s Head Soup, but in the early 1970s he released several pioneering electronic freak-out albums under various names.
His first release, in 1970, was an eponymous album under the name “Head”; it was released by Buddah Records and contained tracks with names like “Cannabis Sativa” and “Methedrine”. Buddah had second thoughts fairly quickly and Raicevic was soon on his own. He released four albums on his own label (keeping the drug theme by naming it “Narco Records and Tapes”) before selling all his equipment to Steve Roach and dying of an overdose or finding Jesus or something.
The The Sixth Ear, Lp from 1972, features many great spacey Moog sounds. For you DJs out there, this makes a fantastic music bed for back-announcing. Raicevic credits himself under three different pseudonyms on the involved musicians list on the back cover. The engineer is listed as “William Elder”, but we don’t expect it’s the Mad/Playboy artist.

CONDITION: The cover: The 43 year old rarity is nearly impossible to find with a mint cover as the dark colors did not wear well and most all surviving copies have much shelf wear. This copy is a collection worthy VG++ front cover (touch of contact wear only just beginning) and M- all clean back cover... the front cover does contain the very rare "Do Not Listen To This Album If You Are Stoned" bumper sticker which is stuck on actual cover here.
