Description

Here is a vintage promotional album offered up for sale: The Grateful Dead's album "The History Of The Grateful Dead Volume 1" , released in 1973 by Warner Brothers Records BS-2721 Stereo. This is a RARE 1st pressing with the white "Promotion Not For Sale" labels, sticker on cover. This is LIVE music, features acoustic on one side and electric on the other. This album is called "Bear's Choice", sound man Bear's tribute to keyboard player "Pigpen", who passed away during it's production. Pigpen sings all songs on side two including Howling Wolf's "Smokestack Lightnin' ". The cover displays the first appearance of the Dancing Bears and Steal Your Face icons.
The vinyl rates strong EX, is super glossy and clean, just a few small light marks, has been very well cared for! PLAY TESTED and plays from start to finish with very good audio quality, bright clear sound with light background pops, no skips or jumps, an enjoyable listen!  
The cover rates VG, artwork has bright colors with minimal ring wear, edges and corners have light wear and top and bottom opening had splits neatly taped, binder edge is readable, has a few light stains, no signatures or writing. (see all photos)
