PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1974 first pressing of a great CAN album...the tracks are all unreleased from their peak period of 1969 thru 1973...ONLY released in England at the time (there was NO German issue as such) ...here, the first pressing with laminated cover...
UNLIMITED EDITION spans the classic period of CAN, and highlights the band's known strengths (rhythm, synth textures, group improv), as well as a few surprises (collage music, ethnic interests, humor). Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the music is that it just doesn't really sound like outtakes. The concepts are fresh, relative to the other albums, and the band never sounds without direction. Most of the songs blend into each other, and the quality of sound is immaculate. Even Damo Suzuki and Malcolm Mooney start to sound in sync. No, it doesn't have the flow of Ege Bamyasi or Soon Over Babaluma, but impressive, fun, and always unpredictable nonetheless.
The leadoff track "Gomorrha", from 1973, is a perfect slice of the dreamy ambience found on Future Days. No real beat, but pulse aplenty, with so much gooey harmonic watercoloring. To think that the band had this kind of stuff in the can, per se, is astonishing. "I'm Too Leise" is tremendously "Ege Bamyasi" like...cool, grungy guitar, faux-greasy organ. Electronic laced acid interludes connect the tracks... Druggy grooves such as "Doko E" and "Blue Bag" are classic Damo Suzuki trips with a stoned tranced feel...Malcom Mooneys "Mother Upduff" from 1969 is a lyrical hallucinatory experience...what ever they were smoking, we want some...(well, maybe not...) -- That said, be prepared for anything...
