Description

Original 1978 "SOME GIRLS" first pressing vinyl with the UNCENSORED withdrawn/banned custom designed gimmick cover ... The cover was completely re-designed when several of the Hollywood stars used for the cover threatened lawsuits unless their images were removed, as follows:


The elaborate die-cut cover design, with colors varying on different sleeves, featured The Rolling Stones in garish drag alongside select female celebrities and lingerie ads. The cover immediately ran into trouble when Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli (representing her mother Judy Garland), Raquel Welch, and the estate of Marilyn Monroe threatened legal action. It was withdrawn and the women's likenesses removed.


Vinyl condition is VG-EX, as is the album jacket, see pix.
