METAL MASSACRE III - METAL BLADE / ENIGMA RECORDS 
FEATURING 1st Ever Recording by SLAYER!!  "Aggressive Perfector" on Metal Massacre III won them a record contract, and the rest is HEAVY METAL HISTORY! 
1983 LP Vinyl 12" 33rpm  S-10704-MBR-1008-A / S-10705 MBR-1008-B  Sleeve and Vinyl VERY GOOD+.  Rear is Signed by Robbie Blackmore, drummer from compilation featured band SEXIST. This one appearance is their only known recording. 
The Metal Massacre compilation series is legendary for premiering what would become some of the biggest metal bands of the 80's, including 2 of the BIG 4: Metallica on Vol 1, and Slayer on Vol 3. This record was a fortunate acquisition from an original owner who did not over use or abuse the album. The sleeve is Very Good+ with only minor flaws around outer edges. The existence of any original record slip is unconfirmed, regardless, this record comes in a premium quality MFSL slip for good measure. 12" vinyl is bright and glossy and plays extremely well with minimal detrimental noise. Some superficial scuffing is expected however there are 2, 3/4" needle scratches in particular on Side 2 which was an initial cause for my concern, but upon listening I was pleasantly relieved to hear they are not audibly significant, or even noticeable. In the collector's market this record is incomparable to the average early 80's "Metal" compilation,  as is the same for anyone with a love for precious early Heavy Metal vinyl.  An essential acquisition for the discerning audiophile collector.
