Description

This is the sought-after 1985 Nimbus LP record (OMAN1), Symphonic Music Of Oman, recorded at the Barbican Concert Hall, London in June 1985.  It features the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by John Georgiadis.
The record was pressed in England by Nimbus and contains text in both Arabic and English.
Tracks are: Omani Symphonic Dances 1, 2 & 3 (Aziz Al-Shawan and Dr Youssef Shawki); Symphonic Suite Omaniyah (Dr Youssef Shawki) and Oman Symphony (Aziz Al-Shawan).
As the sleeve notes explain, the recording stemmed from the Sultan's wish for the preservation of his nation's folklore and culture, and its development to encompass symphonic music.
The record will be supplied in a protective polypropylene sleeve within an strengthened LP mailer.
