"I have, in the past, always turned down offers to make phonograph records----but i was glad to make this, my first, for two reasons.
One is that i like children---my youngest is two-and-a-half. The second is because i like what this record has to say. I believe we have to tell children this story many times in many ways. And i know that if we can give our children the understanding that will help them to live together as people, we shall have made a real contribution to their lives. GROUCHO MARX---1949
SO, even tho' there was some GROUCHO recordings issued previously, they were all transcribed from MARX BROTHERS movies...THIS is the very FIRST ORIGINAL recording done in studio by the great Groucho....VERY rare!!!
