Description:

Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique discs, this one a group of 27 roller skating rink records as listed above.  Overall, SOME of the Rinx labels appear to be in better shape. 
SEND ME A MESSAGE THRU E-BAY TELLING ME WHICH ONES YOU WANT.  I'll then start a separate auction for those requested records at the rate of $10 for one record or $25 for three records in a buy-it-now format.  Max of 3 records in a box to help prevent breakage in shipping.
08:28:2024:  Okay, if you've been watching this item, here's another option for you.  You can get them all for $100 + ship.  I need the crate in which I've been storing these.  I had been selling these individually or up to 3 in a 14x14x6" box so that I can pad them with styrofoam to help prevent breakage, and I can listen to them first.  If you want them all, then I can only put some styrofoam on top and on bottom of a grouped pile of all the records.  There's a chance for some of them to get broken if a postal gorilla gets ahold of them in transit.  AND, I'm not going to listen to them.  You're taking them all as is.
Several unique things about this item: 
Firstly, these discs retain varying amounts of the original shine with any imperfections noted above grading by sight in normal room light.  I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint.  If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you. 
Based on past experience and visual examination, I'd expect the records to play from just okay with surface noise to very well.  If you'd like an audio grade, no problem!  Just drop me a note before bidding.  You can then assign your own grade based on my comments and the grading scale shown below. 
Secondly, at the time of this listing, no past/present sales on e-bay for this lot.  NO COPIES FOR THIS LOT FOUND FOR SALE OUT ON THE INTERNET!
My main system for playing 78s is an old Zenith system that plays three speeds and allows me to turn a knob which flips a needle to allow for playing 78 RPMs.   If you have a player specifically designed for playing 78 RPMs, or can clean them,  it (they) may sound even better.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3),  NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).  



Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)  3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise  3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops  VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)  VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise  G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise 


I normally ship 78 RPM discs in 14"x14"x6" boxes padded in styrofoam, centered within the box.  Weight with box is about 2 pounds 1 ounces.  I have had great success shipping in this manner, but we both know if a postal gorilla gets ahold of this, then no package is going to survive shipping.  Thankfully, those incidents are few and far between.  Ask for insurance ($2-$3) before bidding if you are concerned.
Shipping is (one record--I can get up to 3 records in one box)):  $5.42 Media Rate (2-3 pounds) + $3.70 box/tape = $9.12.  I am shipping to you at cost.  It actually costs me $$ because e-bay will charge me 10-15% of the shipping as well.  I don't normally have to use a box this size, so I buy them individually vs. quantity of 100.  If you feel the shipping is too much, please look elsewhere.
If you want them all, then figure $20 Media Rate ship including cost of the box.
