We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Here's another yet seldom seen rarity from 35 or so years ago ... we were able to come up with only this one copy ... it's in great shape (see detail below)

This set seems to be recorded from the middle of the stadium which gives the flavors of the excited audience which captures the atmosphere of the proceeds ... apparently there were two different releases, this Screaming Oiseau pressing better than the Cobra pressing ...
The sound quality is very listenable if a bit high on the treble.

Here is a press review issued the day after the mighty Zeppelin performance:

...Jimmy Page may have finished only sixth or seventh to the recently completed (1970) Playboy magazine jazz poll but more than 9,000 rock fans decided Thursday night in Tampa he may be the great-est.

Page was the premier attraction of Led Zeppelin, a British Isles supergroup who conducted "an evening with…" concert at Curtis Hixon Hall Tampa Florida on Thursday night.

It was Curtis Hixon’s first complete standing room only sellout in a long time. It was also one of the more expensive concerts ever on this coast of Florida. So, if things didn't go perfectly smooth, the sub-culture of hard rock would surely have let the promoters know about it.

Things went smoothly.

Page, while the most musical of the quartet, is still only one fourth. Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham are names you will hear again. If not as members of Led Zeppelin, then as solos or members of other small groups. Each member of Zeppelin got a shot at solo work. Page was first and he was magnificent. Many of the groups touring through the area manage to turn every-body on, but few of the individual performers are true musical craftsmen.

Jimmy Page is a master guitarist

After cranking out some numbers from their (first) two albums, vocalist Plant introduced Page for a solo. The slender guitarist, hanging over his instrument like some strange stork, stroked out more than 15 minutes of music scaling from elementary rock & roll rhythms to hard raga.

The far eastern influence in Page's fretwork was obvious, his long, bony fingers running the length of the electrified guitar with magical ease. Robert Plant attempts to read some rather odd stage announcements before introducing a frenzied White Summer/Black Mountain Side.  Page is on fire, his playing is wild and lightning-fast. Since I've Been Loving You is haunting and powerful, one of the best thus far. Page's solo during Thank You is excellent, adding an epic quality to the performance. Another one of the best.

The capacity audience re-warded Page with a seven-minute standing ovation. Only a shy smile creased his lips as Page fidgeted about the stage constricted with huge amplifiers. Drummer Bonham soloed for more than 25 minutes to several standing ovations. Bass guitarist Jones turned his solo on the electric organ and vocalist Plant, besides providing the words for all the Zeppelin's songs, played his harmonica.

Zeppelin turned in one of the truly great performances in this area. Some of the biggest names in rock have been at Curtis Hixon but few have received the grand welcome that was given to these slender English boys.

And more amazing than the group's ability to perform is the fact they came on the stage and started their first number four minutes before show time. This was promised by the promoter, National Shows Inc., but few hardened rock fans believed it.

Led Zeppelin is one group that would be welcome back.

CONDITION: The cover: The deluxe color cover is in great shape, rate it M- and has no bends, no split seams, no writing and should provide as a keeper collection copy ... 

The vinyl: both sides are very clean and clear, rated M- looks and plays as well as it did when first issued many years ago...
