We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. COPY #380 of only 400 copies pressed around 25 years ago ... this is a fantastic (non digital) warm analog production 2nd press, almost as scarce as the '70s original.
There's a lot to like about IRON LUNG, as a result you'd be hard pressed to find the first press for under $500. The main appeal is the album is a real ''grower'' with repeat plays and is highly accessible to about everyone, since it contains a lot of whats popular in early ZZ Top, Canned Heat and early Savoy Brown.
Druggy teenage garage blues, is even on par with Raven's "Back To Ohio Blues." Try and find that LP without spending $1000.... IRON LUNG lyrics about alcohol, needles, and getting locked up which would make you think these guys were a bit older -- if -- you didn't see the cover first.
"High Bail" standouts are original and all throughout, "Because of You" and "Nobody Cares" feature some good riffs and blues lead guitar solos with clean tones. The big influence seems to be early ZZ Top, Canned Heat, and Chris Youlden (VOCALS)-era Savoy Brown, and the lead singer (presumably Bill Boltz) sounds like he's giving it his all. There's that bluesy Southern drawl, which works in "The Thrill Is Over," with a cool guitar melody and playing style. The rhythm section is frenzied a-la Ten Years After, which could have been another influence. This album is not psych or hard rock for damn sure, however it is well worth investigating for a bluesy, fun, doped-up listen (and we can only hope they were more than half as high as they portray on this LP!)
