Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

Long Gone/Rare exact copy = PLAYS CLEAN !  This happens to be an exact 'PAGE ONE' limited spare from nearly 40 years ago; always was very hard to find and extremely prone to shelf wear , yet here is a clean survivor with near M- cover and M- vinyl

The first print being of the rarest British psychedelic 60's albums of all time. Originally released in 1969 by Britain's "Page One" Records.

The group
"Apple" (nothing to do with The Beatles of their label) managed one highly prized album, dominated by self compositions filled with keys and genuinely stunning mad psych guitar frenzy, all still holding up.  In fact, of the twelve songs, there are nine originals and three cover takes the APPLE way, - "Rock Me Baby" (Muddy Waters), "Psycho Daisies" ( The Yardbirds) and "Sporting Life" (Brownie McGhee.)
Love the Syd Barrett Floyd-era feel to "Mr. Jones" and the great grunge-drive of "The Mayville Line". Robbo (as the LP called him) puts in some fantastic guitar in "The Otherside" which is a freak-beat all-timer. The Bluesy "Sporting Life" is excellent and a guitar frenzy is everywhere on the  Muddy Waters  classic "Rock Me Baby". Of the album's other highlights - "Queen Of Hearts Blues" is a listening pleasure- also the delightfully titled "Buffalo Billycan" is surely a masterpiece; dreaming Syd's version of the sixties Pink Floyd never made.

This kind of catchy rock, psych and freak-beat will not be everyone's idea of a grand stroll down the canals of Oxford sipping tea and chowdering hallucinatory strawberry sponge-cake. Yet, there is a good reason why some collectors have have parted with four K $ for a 1st pressing, the Lp has grown in demand and value in leaps and bounds.

"The FAN-MAN" ends with:
A very fine example of underground UK psychedelic popsike rock. They probably could have been a super club act but they didn’t stick around very long. The searing wah-wah guitar moves give these tracks its foundation to work in studio effects and other cool melodies.
Highlights: ‘Buffalo Billycan’, ‘Lets Take A Trip Down The Rhine’, ‘Doctor Rock’ and ‘The Otherside’. One of the rarest psychedelic albums of all time. Originally released in 1969 by Page One Records..
