Description
This rare 45 is is terrific condition - there are no visible scratches that I can see (it has been sitting in my father's attic for I can't even guess how many decades). The picture uploaded is off the Internet as I do not have a camera, but it exactly matches the color/wording of the 45's label (purple backing against black vinyl, gold text). The one here for sale seems to have had a sticker on the label at one point (on The Quiver side) which was removed at some point which has left some distortion (old dried glue) over the Warner Bros distribution part of the label. Again, the vinyl itself looks great!
My research shows this to be a rare item and challenging item to obtain. Side one features "Down and Out' by George Freeman, arranged by Perry Batkin Jr. and runs for 2:32, distributed by Warner Bros. Side two features "The Quiver" by George Freeman, also arranged by Perry Batkin Jr. It runs 2.21 according to the label. I think this came out in 1963.
The vinyl cimes in its original brown paper no-frills sleeve with a cut-out to view the vinyl's label. There is a tear on one side from the cut-out to view the label up approx. one inch.
