RARE! Roger Ridley and the Ridley Sisters "I Believe" (Side A) "Morning, Noon, I Cry" (Side B) 45 RPM Vinyl, 1969  Del-Pat Records DP-605

Roger Ridley and the Ridley Sisters were originally from Charles Junction, Lumpkin, GA. The Ridley Sisters were Julia Van Matre (nee Ridley), Dorothy Pitman Hughes (nee Ridley) and Mary Cunningham.
Their background and previous music was primarily rooted in the Church. The R&B performance on this 45 RPM vinyl release was a rare venture into the secular world of recording for the Ridley Sisters. 
Dorothy Pitman Hughes later recorded a number of blues sides as Jean Myers. She is a well known Civil Rights Activist and feminist polemicist. Roger Ridley moved to New York in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Roger was featured on a 1990s compilation CD  of "Subplay - Subway Musicians of New York."  Roger Ridley passed away in 2005. 
Del-Pat might have been a private label created for the Ridleys. There is a Del-Pat or Del Pat record from 1959, Del-Pat or Del Pat 206, but it is not clear if it is the same company.  
"I Believe" was written and performed by the Ridley Sisters (Von Matre, Cunningham, Pitman).  "Morning, Noon, I Cry" was written by Roger Ridley and performed by Roger and the Ridley Sisters.
This record was not played very much. It is in VG+ condition and plays fine. You can see a few marks in the labels where the 45 RPM plastic spindle adapter was inserted and removed a few times. Otherwise, the labels are as good as new.
