RARE 45 rpm James "Sugar Boy" Crawford & His Canecutters on a 1960 Montel label. Danny Boy & Round and Round
The New Orleans-area R&B/Rocker from the late 1950's - 1960's. He recorded "Danny Boy" on a Montel label with "White Christmas" (only the 3rd 45 produced by Montel) in 1959. Sam Montel released it again in early 1960 and put "Round and Round" on the flip side.
Some 'writing' on the "Danny Boy" side. (see photos). Otherwise, very clean.
I recently wrote the autobiography of Montel Records owner/producer & concert promoter S.J. Montalbano (aka Sam Montel). I'll be listing 'signed copies' of the book (Leaving It Up to Me"- The Sam Montel Story as well on ebay......I'll also be listing other Montel label 45's, which was chosen from the vault to produced a recently-released (Dec. 2019) Double-CD entitled "You're Never Too Old To Rock 'N Roll" - The Sam Montel Collection, which I will also list on ebay. It has 60 songs by 27 different artists/groups that recorded under one of FIVE Montel labels. (Montel, Montel-Michelle, Michelle, Stephanie & Debbie)
