Scarce 45 rpm country: WAYLON JENNINGS - The Real House Of The Rising Sun / I Don't Believe You - A&M 762, promo, released in 1968.

The original "Waylon Jennings Arrangement" of 'The Real House Of The Rising Sun' 7", (very different from the original song). The full studio version of all the recordings Waylon did for A&M records wasn't released until 1970, and the tracks were overdubbed by A&M's in-house back-up group. This 45 is the un-dubbed version with only the female voice in background [it is Very Haunting]. It could be Jessi Colter, as she and Waylon had just recently met. Not long after, the rock group The Animals contacted Waylon's publicist and asked if they could use this [Waylon's] arrangement for their 1st recording, which became their first and maybe greatest hit.

Condition: VG (moderate scuffing, ink to labels).
